Water Saving Tips and Plant Suggestions

 

Go Green Gardeners Guide to Water Saving Gardens

Learn how to work your sprinkler timer if you don’t know already

Water within the city restrictions Monday and Thursday only before 9am or after 4pm

Don’t water any station for more than 10 minutes

In very hot weather water two times per day morning and late afternoon or early evening

Mature plants need less water than new plantings

Plants with shallow root systems need more water typically than those with deep root systems

Salvias

Day lilies

Geraniums

Wall flower

Bougainvillea

Wistringia

Olive bushes and trees

Acacia

Citrus

Stipa Grass

Fountain Grass

Flax

Iris

Roses

Succulents
