Eat your Greens

For those of you that have planted winter vegetables, I wanted to remind you that the leaves of broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts are all edible. You don't have to wait until a stalk appears. Beet tops are wonderful as well. One of my New Year's resolutions is to eat more vegetables and different kinds.

Of course being able to grab them fresh from you own garden is best. Our gardening classes will be starting up again in February. I will be posting the schedule later today. Some highlights: Our living walls of course - these have been great and still producing tomatoes, eggplant and chard. Planting and maintaining your organic vegetable garden, and we offer a cooking demonstration as well following the class.

More rain this week - so keep the sprinklers off!
