Updates on Gray Water UsageGreat News! The state of California has loosened restrictions on using gray water. Gray water is the water that goes down
the drain from sinks, showers, and washing machines. As long as you aren't washing something like dirty diapers or something
similar, you can use gray water to water your plants. Instead of the water going into the sewer system, it can go into a holding
tank for later use. I am sure there are some of you that have been showering with a trash can and then dumping
the water into the garden. Now you can hook up your shower drain to a pipe that will lead to a storage container for the water.
This is great news because of our extreme water shortage we can't afford to waste water as we have been. We are using
a system that will allow you to collect your gray water - either above ground or below ground and with the aid of pump it
can be used in conjunction with you irrigation system. Give us a call and we can schedule an appointment
for an appraisal and an estimate. These systems are not crazy expensive and of course think of the water savings!
