Suggested Sprinkler settings for June 1 Two Day a Week WateringMonday is the first day of the Monday, Thursday only mandatory water rationing. I am suggesting that for areas that you
have been watering daily that you set your timer to come on Mondays at 5am for 7 minutes and again at 4pm for 7 minutes. In
my experience it is best to water more frequently for shorter intervals. This idea of "deep" watering really doesn't
happen with our overhead spraying sprinklers. Most of the water evaporates or runs off. These are for spray heads only.Rotary
heads and drips need to be only longer - typically 15 minutes. You would do the same for Thursdays. When
we get to the heat of the summer I would add another cycle at 9pm. Normally we don't recommend watering at night, but in the
summer and with these watering restrictions you will need to. Email us with questions or comments at gogreengardeners@aol.com Anne

LA Garden ShowThanks to all of you that came out to see us at the LA Garden Show. Please see the photos on our project page. Our living
walls were a big hit as usual. Come see us at the AltBuild show in Santa Monica this Friday and Saturday May 8 and 9. The
show focuses on green building and water saving ideas. See our event page for directions and more information. We have
been asked to do one of the larger gardens at the garden show next year. As always keep us in mind for helping you
with your drought tolerant garden and surviving the water rationing - thanks - Anne
