Sprinkler Report

I am going to try and regularly post to this website what you should be doing with your sprinklers in the Los Angeles area for the week. I find that a lot of folks just don't know what they should do with their timers and we have a difficult time getting the word out. Our goal is to save as much water as possible. So we want folks to water efficiently.

THE SPRINKLER REPORT FOR THIS WEEK IS KEEP YOUR SPRINKLERS OFF FOR THE NEXT 3-4 DAYS. WE HAD ENOUGH RAIN SO THAT NO ONE SHOULD BE WATERING THEIR LAWNS OR PLANTS NOW. IT IS SUPPOSED TO WARM UP AGAIN AT THE END OF THE WEEK. SO CHECK OUT YOUR BEDS AND LAWN TO SEE IF THEY ARE STILL PRETTY WET AT THE END OF THE WEEK. IF THEY ARE STARTING TO LOOK DRY SWITCH ON THE TIMER TO RUN EVERY OTHER DAY FOR 5-7 MINUTES MAXIMUM PER STATION. AGAIN WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND THAT YOU SET EACH ZONE BASED ON WHAT THE ZONE NEEDS -  SOME MAY NEED MORE WATER THAN OTHERS.

STAY TUNED FOR MORE SPRINKLER REPORTS.

Go Green Gardeners at Go Green Expo

Go Green Gardeners had a booth this past weekend at the Go Green Expo at the convention center in Los Angeles. There was huge turnout. People are really interested in green living which is no surprise. We brought in a living wall with all edible plants that attracted a lot of attention. These are great for anyone that has limited space to work with - a balcony or small patio. They are also great for folks that don't want to do all the bending that normally ground level beds require.

We will have pictures posted of the wall and our booth soon! Keep checking back.

It was great chatting with everyone about green gardens and what folks can do to make their garden green. It was a fun and informative event.  I will keep you posted on other events we will be participating in in the months to come.
