Are you concerned about the environment? Rethink your gardening service

Most people are trying to do their part to be environmentally friendly. They recycle, have cut out using plastic water bottles, try to cut down on water usage indoors - but what about your gardening service?

Gas powered mowers and other equipment not only use precious fuel, but cause a great deal of pollution as well. One easy way to help the environment is to switch to an environmentally focused gardening service. At GGG we don't use any gas powered equipment, only organic food and no pesticides. Our prices are in the same range as a moderately priced mow and blow type service.

Make the change today to an environmentally focused gardening service. Call us we will come out and give you a free estimate. 818-755 Go Green (4647).

Desperate Water levels in the state

I met with James Caldwell who is assistant manager for the Department of Water and Power's Environmental Affairs division a few weeks ago. The topic was water and how the DWP needs to get the word out to consumers to save water. My interest is primarily in the garden where as much as 50% of water used there is estimated to be wasted. I am going to be putting together a seminar that will be explaining to homeowners how they can do that through operating their timers effectively, installing lower water use sprinkler heads, cutting down on the amount of lawn they have and planting low water need plants.

There is  a lot you can do that won't cost money and of course will save you money in the long run because you will be using less water.

We are at critical stages now with water levels in California. We need to start addressing it urgently and not wasting this valuable resource.

Stay tuned for more ideas and motivation to save water! Anne
